The Samsung Galaxy S8 was launched in early 2017. So, the release date of Samsung Galaxy S9 is only a few months away. How will it look like?
The phone will look a lot similar to the Samsung Galaxy S8. If you are hoping that it will definitely have a new look, you can stop imagining how it will look. A CAD render of the S9 has revealed that the design of the phone is not a big change from S8. S9 is supposed to have extremely tiny bezels with a metal frame and a glass back.
Where will the fingerprint sensor be placed?
The fingerprint sensor position of S8 was found awkward by many users. In S9, it will be placed below the camera lens. Now, you do not need to worry about whether your finger will reach to the fingerprint sensor easily when you are holding your phone with a single hand.

What about screen to body ratio
S9 is going to be impressive that S8. The screen to body ratio of S8 was eighty-four percent. According to SamMobile, the screen to body ratio is supposed to be ninety percent which is really impressive. The six percent increase in the ratio might not sound quite different but you will sure feel the difference in your hands. The size of bezels will, of course, be reduced in the Samsung Galaxy S9.
When will it be launched?
The phone is supposed to be launched in February 2018. Recent rumors suggest that S9 will launch in January which seems too early. Some have been saying that it will be launched in March as well. So, it will probably launch at the end of February or beginning of March 2018.
What about cameras?
It has been rumored that only S9+ will get the dual rear-facing cameras. The smaller S9 is supposed to have a single rear camera. In both of the phones, the fingerprint sensor is sure to be kept below the camera. So, you do not need to worry about the fingerprint placements on both of these phones.
Won’t there be headphone jack again?
You do not need to worry about this. There will be 3.5 mm headphone jack on this phone. Apple started a trend of the removal of headphone jack which had no point. There was a rapid removal of the headphone jack in 2017 which was not liked by many users. The leaked render of the phone suggests that there will be a 3.5 mm headphone jack on this phone.
Will the battery be same as that of S8?
The battery life of S8 was proved to be very good. The S9’s battery is supposed to be proved even better. There will be an increase of 200 mAh in battery capacity. S8 was packed with 3000 mAh battery. S9 is supposed to come with 3200 mAh battery. Additionally, the phone will also support Quick Charge 3.0.
Which Processor will be used and what about RAM?
Qualcomm has announced the Snapdragon 845 and Samsung is about to announced Exynos 9810 on January 4, 2018. So, the phone will have Snapdragon 845 or Exynos 9810 chipset. The buyer’s outside the US will probably get the phone packed with Samsung Exynos 9810 Chipset. According to various leaks, the phone is supposed to have only 4GB of RAM but let’s wait on how much RAM it will have.

What will its price be?
The price is expected to be £639 / $725 / AU$1200 based on the current projections. The price of S9 is supposed to be similar to that of S8. There are not massive changes, so we do not think that there will be a price rise in Samsung Galaxy S9.
The upcoming Samsung Galaxy S9 and S9+ will be the strong and attractive flagship phones from Samsung. Few updates in design may not be much liked but the updates on the screen to body ratio and fingerprint placements are appreciated. So, the phone will have a premium look out of the box.
